Talk like a pirate
It is made for lighthearted fun — International Talk Like a Pirate Day, themed parties, birthday cards, kids’ games and playful captions. The translator recognises common words and replaces them with their pirate equivalents, then adds the odd exclamation for good measure.
What gets translated
The translator carries a small pirate dictionary. Some of the regular swaps:
