How the flip works
Each letter is swapped for a Unicode character that happens to look like its upside-down twin, and the whole string is reversed so it reads correctly once rotated 180°. Because these are ordinary characters, the flipped text travels through copy-and-paste and shows up the same for other people.
Compatibility and quirks
The flipped alphabet is stitched together from look-alike characters across Unicode — many borrowed from the phonetic alphabet block — so support is broad but not perfect, and a rare device may show a box for the odd glyph. Punctuation gets rotated too: a question mark becomes ¿, an exclamation mark ¡, and brackets swap sides so they still open and close correctly.
