This swap case converter inverts every letter: capitals become lowercase and lowercase become capitals, turning Hello World into hELLO wORLD. It is the quick fix for text typed with caps lock accidentally on.
How to use the swap case converter
- Paste the text with inverted capitals.
- Swap case flips each letter to its opposite case.
- Copy the corrected (or stylised) result.
How swap case works
Each letter’s case is flipped individually based on what it already is: an uppercase letter becomes lowercase and vice versa. Numbers, punctuation and spacing are left untouched. The most common real use is rescuing a sentence typed with caps lock on and the shift key held — where everything came out exactly backwards.
Examples
| Input | Swapped |
|---|---|
| Hello World | hELLO wORLD |
| dEAR sIR OR mADAM | Dear Sir or Madam |
| iPhone 15 Pro | IpHONE 15 pRO |
The middle row is the classic rescue: a greeting typed with inverted capitals comes back exactly as intended. If you want everything flattened into one case instead of flipped, the UPPERCASE and lowercase converters do that; for the strict up-down meme pattern regardless of your original capitals, use alternating case.
